Hard to believe I shot these photos in Flushing, N.Y.

Namaste...

And one more blessing for the road ahead.

I have some more shots to PP but this will suffice. This is the tale of a Mexican American, and an Indian American in the great metropolis of New York.

I just revisited these and am still mightily impressed with them. I'm also mightily surprised that after over nearly 40 hours mine is the only comment. I wonder what's going on here when technically and aesthetically lovely photos of a joyous event the likes of which very few here have ever witnessed attracts so little attention.

Dario:

It was a wonderful excursion into a new world! BTW, I enjoyed a visit to you website. Great photos!

Stuart:

You are a gentleman and a scholar! You've seen something others have missed or perhaps we are both deluded. LOL

Cheers!

these are lovely, reminiscent of some of the photos I took at both of my sister in laws' weddings. The wedding process, the ceremony, the different roles the family members play all very beautiful and very different from our usual here in the States.

Did you decide to convert and post all of them in B&W before hand?

Lovely compositions, tones and use of light

Best

J

These were all shot with my Leica Monochrom, they were never color. Incidentally, today I did their Anglican/Episcopal wedding. Since I was in the role of a clergy person, I did not take pictures. It was an interesting fun reception where we danced Salsa, and what sounded like Hindi Pop.
