.... in between courses at lunch last sunday with Wilko Johnson and Norman Watt Roy. Chinese meal in Southend on Sea over 3 hours - a good laugh was had by all. Nice to see Wilko getting better - hopefully back strutting his black and red Telecaster next year.

I think you've captured the essence of these two individuals. Without knowing who they were I could tell they had a lot of mileage on them as musicians, and the the spark for what they do hasn't vanished. These are great character portraits!

Thank you all for your comments. We are all really pleased to see him out and about. Wilko doesn't smoke. For those who don't know they are from left to right

Norman Watt Roy - bass player extraordinaire - formerly of the Clash (Sandinista), Ian Dury and the Blockheads and now Wilko's bass player in his 3 man band (Wilko, NWR, and Dylan Howe in drums)

Wilko Johnson

Dave Martin - part time bass player and senior lab technician at Cancer Research UK.
