Being away from NYC for over a week made me appreciate how much I adore it, and its people! Here's a sample from my trove in honor of my arrival back home (taken within the last month)... To be continued....:)

C&C are highly welcome!

Really, ya think so?! Funny you say that b/c I actually was planning to do a separate "I [HEART} NYers, but they don't [HEART] me back" series next.... It'll be a slightly shorter series seeing as how lovable I am :roll eyes:

Thanks for stopping by, Brent, and good luck Friday!

A terrific set, and as you could have guessed, #6 is my favorite. Now get over to Times Square (between 43rd & 44th in the wide pedestrian area) for the chain link fences with "people" holes.

Adam, I love this set! It is hard to choose any favorite as I find each shot superb!

My friend, you are lucky to live in the paradise of street photography! I have been all over the world and could not see any place that could match NY!

Enjoy it and keep posting!

Here's an interesting update. I was just watching the NBC evening news and there was a story about some Harvard research results showing the five happiest cities in the USA are all in Louisiana. The unhappiest city? You guessed it--NYC.

Thanks very much for the good wishes on my opening.

Sincere thanks, Tom, Dolphin, Robert and Brent. I really appreciate you stopping by and sharing your thoughts.

Dolphin - I used the summicron for all except #6, which was taken with the summaron f5.6 screw mount.

Brent - As someone who went to college in New Orleans, I can vouch for why residents there might be so happy. One thing is for sure, the study is flawed for many reasons, including the important reason that it most certainly does not reflect the input of any street photographers :D

Not surprised. It's my home town but you better have coping strategies if you are going to live here.
