This shot asked that I do it in B&W. All were taken with my D2. My M8 remains in Solms much to my dismay.

What a nice series, & what nice color! I like the first one in color – that is, as almost BW, but with a hint of color.

Wilfredo -

All are lovely, including both versions of #1. Hmmm. You're still in town? Perhaps we can meet? stuart.nordheimer@opco.com.

Thanks Kirk and Stuart.

Stuart,

I returned to sunny Southern California last night. I hear that after I left you got good weather . I hope we can catch up next time I am in New York. I can't stay away from the Big Apple for too long.

Cheers.

Wilfredo,

A great series. I like the first one in b&w and the pictures of the guys in color.

the added b/w is the one for me.
not because itsb/w, but its the man standing besides the huge truck,
hence man vs: machine.
i know that concept is a bit cliched but as we spiral down the eco path its becoming the most
important topic of current times.

wilfredo you are so super talented and diverse, i never know what to expect form you.
thats a great thing.

Wilfredo, glad to see you dip into the past & give us these portraits of our northern most borough. They all work for me. The silhouette in the first sets a fine tone. Love the colors & hard contrast to provide the grit & grime of the homeland. Well done. Come back soon my friend.

A very nice series indeed, Wilfredo, the #1 and #2 work fine for me in b/w whereas #3 and #4 great in colour, appreciate you sharing with us.

Melissa,

Thank you! As I dabble into the world of fine art photography I realize that this is a world that pretends to limit one's vision for commercial purposes. Most financially successful art photographers seem to focus on a theme and don't divert from there. I think that is O.K. when it is genuine but not when the motive is profit. In my case I don't want to be limited, I shoot anything and everything, some of it artistic, some more documentary, anything goes, so I never know myself what the catch of the day will be, it's a big ocean :-).

Thank you all again for the wonderful comments.

Here's a quick B&W version of #2. Both versions seem to work. Where would we be without those who do the grunt work?

Cheers!

Terrific series Wilfredo. Love the irony in the coin basin with the lotto ticket.

Dear Wilfredo -
Wonderful series showing life in a different angle. I like how you show beyond the surface. The B&W with the two boys might be my favorite if I'd have to chose one. But luckily I don't!
Well done.
Peace,
Bixi
