Ben -

Delgihtful, and in my favorite museum on 6 continents. We like it so much that we've been members since 1986 and are back every 6 weeks on average. We have a couple of hundred photos from there on our NYC pages.

Ben,
haughty tone, if that is true in reality, must be a wonder this museum.

Great shot.

Great shot.
New Yorkers are not known for their modesty
a fine capture in a grand museum, Ben ...I like the rail in the foreground which frames your subject well
the Met is surely among the great museums of the world & a favorite of mine as well, though I cannot speak for as many continents as Stuart
to its credit, they are photographer friendly, which is unusual for many American museums
when I am in New York I almost always visit the Morgan Library, but they are not photographer friendly ...the Morgan is of a more manageable size & almost always has some fascinating exhibit on display

[the Morgan is of a more manageable ]

Doc, J.P. Morgan's inner sanctum, his personal Library, is the most intimidating room I have ever been in. To think that single handed, he brought the US back from bankruptcy with his own signature, is the only way to comprehend the feeling of being 5 yrs old, standing before a giant. His devotion to things Medieval is no coincidence.

Pierre-Olivier, thanks for the compliment. I have become obsessed with it.
