Indeed it is, Andy, it is part of Hitler's Atlantik Wall, built on top of the defenses of Hellevoetsluis, which date back to the Dutch-English wars, and were updated by Napoleon. It seems we were well defended against the British.

I see You've taken number of very good shots on this subject, both first-plane / detail and of the environment (seem to remember from previuous posts): try to arrange a portfolio/reportage : it's an interesting subject.
