I am doing the following: 1. counting and keeping track of which pic each person wants 2. looking to see if the pic needs a release (I'll contact you directly) 3. preparing my next request The next request will ask you for the details about the pic and a hi-res version for me to put in the book. See the details in post #82. I will review the hi-res version and make sure it fits the spec. I am still exploring ways for the pix to be transmitted to me, but may ask for a CD or DVD medium. 29 days and counting. Regards to all,

Richard, the South Bank shot is stunning. Doesn't this thing get great low light shots. The saturation of the red is phenomenal.
Jaap, are these your pets, in your back yard? So, how far away were you?

These were in Busanga Plains, North Kafue National Park, Zambia. They are (nearly) uncropped. The couple is with the 135/4.0 TE, the two others with the Noflexar/T 5.6-400 on VisoflexIII. The nose, maybe 3 meters, the cubs, about seven or eight, the couple, maybe 15. If you feel that doesn't fit in your book, I have plenty of others. ![]() Last edited by jaapv : 04/21/08 at 05:27 PM. |

Thanks Bill - appreciate your feedback, especially amongst such great company. If you are ever in London it's worth having a wander along the south bank - there are some great city-scapes between Waterloo and London Bridge. To tell the truth it was a beautiful scene - I even had to tone down the red saturation a touch in PP cause it was just too bright. The book's a great idea - I'm definitely in. richard

I prefer the one in color.
Bill, as long as you said i can change my mind, and as a dizzy woman, I have, I would like to substitute this image of the Marin Hills for the one of the Dome. Caryl

Caryl, done.
DES, this is a fascinating picture of the hills. In color, the foreground looks like you can touch it. In b/w, the velvetiness of the distant hills is sensuous. I will study the two some more at home on the "good" monitor. Regards,

DES, in the book thread, post 104, I have asked the other posters what they think about a double posting for your mountains.
Nice pic!
