Hey John, may I know if your 35 Lux the latest type or the double-asph type?

anyone has any experience/comment on the built quality of the 35 summarit? I have touched it, the focusing cam feels rather light, and also I don't see brass anymore, has Leica done away the brass cam to save costs?

On the other hand resistance to Flare is also very good.

Vincent -

More than just lovely bokeh, these all have excellent light, color, detail, selective focus, composition and 3-D effect.

when will people realise that picking a shot taken on a different occassion with different scenery at different distances under different light and very possibly different apertures does not allow the determination of which lens has smoother/better/preferable bokeh? Andy, your shots are very smooth, but they were not shot under the same conditions as the ones initially posted. The relative distances and brightness ranges are very different and there are so many subtle variables that it is not worth further thought.

Ozkar has owned both and is therefore the only person who has the ability to make some sort of subjective comment; however, far better still are the Guy Mancuso tests were more informative because the comparative images were shot on a tripod under exactly the same conditions. Hate to say it but the Summarit looked (to me) appreciably smoother than the V4 and dealt with specular highlights much better. Anything but harsh...
