Default Two for Spylaw

I saw these and thought of you. Somehow I managed to get a slightly blurred or oof shot of the plaque (damned point and shoot cameras), the second one is on the Royal Yacht.

Gee thanks Pete!

I see you have been in Edinburgh (my birthplace). Where did you find the plaque? It's interesting as Spylaw St., where my late mother lived, is a bit out of the way up in Old Colinton.

The small moai is I think probably repro as almost without exception they are very large!

But I love both the facial expressions! Dour in the extreme!

Brian,
The plaque is on the Royal Mile, left had side about half way down. The stone faced dude is about 10" tall and was given to the Schleswig-Holstein-Saxe-Coburg-Gothas when they were sailing around somewhere on Britannia, a Royal Navy Hospital Ship which I paid for.

Thanks for the info - and well spotted!

The S-H-S-C-G's proboably got he moai when visiting Chile or passing through Easter Island. There are plenty of these repros in all sizes and materials as souvenirs.
