Default M8 - Colour adventure

From International Leica Christmas Party

Whilst others sensibly made their way to the pub, I was making the best I could of 45 minutes with the M8. Taking sanctuary from the world, I popped this off in St Annes Church.

Hand-held, Iso 160, 35mm Summicron.

Wow - impressed.

The second pic is a crop from the main pic. Fabulous detail, no sharpening. Very impressed.

Is anybody with an M8 still using a film M regularly ?

Not me, ha-ha.

My experiences with the M8 get better each time I use it. Better still, I seem to get really good results with absolutely no need to post-process.

These shots are wonderful and no suprise, to me.

Many thanks to both of you.

As committed followers of the M8 you know its secrets. It's a wonderful tool.

I hardly got to grips with it and felt completely at home. Bit disappointing when I later discovered I didn't have a clue what I was doing.

Need to clear out some valuable gear to make way on the shelf.

What also surprised me was the 35mm Summicron. I have both the Lux and the Cron in Asph guise and am preparing to sell-on the Cron. However, it was a real joy to use last Sunday.

One mustn't confuse equipment with photography ....
