Pete and Ruben, great photographs! Very evocative. Ahhhh, the age of steam, eh?
Ruben, is that Jim Clark, or am I showing my age? LouisB

Pete -
Your first Flying Scotsman was on display in front of the entrance to the NY Stock Exchange about three years ago, on one of the few days I went to work without a camera. Your photo is superb for its crop, angle, details, contrast and tonal range. Barbara loves old steam locomotives (you might recall my posting a photo of her shoveling coal into the firebox of a locomotive of the Zig Zag Railway in the Blue Mtns of Oz about a year ago), largely for exactly what shows in this photo. I'll show it to her. BTW: You and Ivan (Azzo) seem to be in a contest to change avatars more frequently than socks. |
