Grilled lamb in old stone oven is a gastronomical tradition on the occasion of big familial festivities - like the first communion of one of our friend's son, in Northern Portugal. And believe me, it is worth knowing !

I was allowed to record the various steps, from the preparation of the full lamb with garlic, salt, olive oil and .. (secret!) by the grandmother and the "expert" maid (she's nearly part of the family), the warming of the oven, its closing with mud (yes, mud!), the opening, to the final piece on the table.

I forgot to mention that the lamb grills on a big plate of rice that takes in all the "juice". I salivate reminding...
