Photographing shiny objects in a large, over-lit expo hall is always a challenge. Your shot (the 1st) succeeds, IMO, because your pov and framing are strong enough to overpower the reflection issue. Nice work!

An aside: I am also more into trucks now, but wow! A Cadillac looks like nothing I would have predicted just a few years ago. What an about-face!

Thank you Paul & Larry so much for your comment. Indeed the Cadillac is a great looking car,I wouldn't mind driving it as it also very comfortable. But since both of you guys are truck aficionado's.I attach 2 truck photo's , Greetings: John Basso.:)

Back in the 1970's or 80's there was a nationwide study of data from speeding tickets to see if they could find common factors contributing to speeding. The information included all the items on the tickets such as age, sex of driver, car make and model etc. The item with the highest score was the color of the car being red. Nobody ever came up with a good explanation for that, but it has kept me from ever owning a red car.

John - Very nice.

Peter - I've always suspected that police perceive red cars as speeding more readilly than they perceive other cars speeding, which if true, skews the results. Either way you may wish to avoid having red cars.

Oddly enough, I've never gotten a speeding ticket in one of my red cars. Blue on the other hand.....

It's some time now, since Cadillacs had fins...

The last ticket I got was on a black bicycle for crossing a traffic light when it was, well, late green.

I'm not sure though, whether this technique is called jaycycling in New York...

Hello Stefan.

Thanks for your comment.Much appreciated.Funny :I got a speeding ticket yesterday coming of an off ramp from a major Parkway leading into the city. This is tricky as when you arrive at the top .I wanted to go to the left as the road splits in 2 .Then you go down hill again .The Provincial police cruiser was waiting for the trap. They seem to have a new powerful gadget which you can't escape. The only way to take this left lane exit is to accelerate for safety .But they refuse to understand this .It is a very expensive ticket. After all : they have to get more revenue. Maybe I buy a horse. Greetings: John Basso.
