parsod Posted January 4, 2012 Share #2 Posted January 4, 2012 Really nice photos! What coding did you select for this lens? Have you used CornerFix? /Par
hifigraz Posted January 4, 2012 Author Share #3 Posted January 4, 2012 Really nice photos! What coding did you select for this lens? Have you used CornerFix? /Par No coding no cornerfix. I was suprised that they came out as well. But I had to use the vignetting slider in Lightrooms lens correction. (Ok not for the chairs )
parsod Posted January 4, 2012 Share #4 Posted January 4, 2012 That is good news! I am planning to get the CV15mm or CV12mm. From what I have seen so far the CV 12 seems to perform best on the M9. However it might be a bit too wide for me:rolleyes: Thank's for posting! /Pär

At the moment it's not too wide for me, but I'm simply enthusiastic. Maybe my enthusiasm weakens int the future . hifigraz Posted January 4, 2012 Author Share #9 Posted January 4, 2012 wonderful image Thanks a lot assuming this is the newer version of the 12mm I have the first version, but have not shot with it on a digital body Yes it is, but the optical design is exactly the same as far as I know. And the rangefinder coupling is not really needed ....
gad356 Posted January 4, 2012 Share #10 Posted January 4, 2012 Beautiful images hifigraz! I've been thinking about purchase the CV 12 for quite a while but wanted to see some sample images. These are great!
Alnitak Posted January 5, 2012 Share #11 Posted January 5, 2012 This is a great lens on the M9, but you will have to either use Cornerfix or code it as the 21mm f/2.8 pre-ASPH (11134). For the best correction, you really have to use Cornerfix. If your shots are all like the chair shot above, then you won't notice the color shifts, but they'll show up on lighter backgrounds. Here's a shot I took a few days ago on the way down to Mono Lake from Tioga Pass; no other lens could have taken in this view. I shot it coded as the 21mm, and if you look close you can see that the lower left still has a color shift: L1000551.jpg by jhapeman, on Flickr

Here a new one I did yesterday. But it was mainly for testing ISO 2500 and the denoising/sharpening tutorial from the FAQs in this forum. Thanks for your great pictures. I hope more CV12 users add M9 pictures to this thread. I will add some pictures later as attachment. Flickr: Robert U's stuff tagged with cv12mm I'm really exited about the iso2500 performance and the results after applying the sharpening denoising tutorial from the FAQ. 01af Posted January 6, 2012 Share #20 Posted January 6, 2012 (edited) Question: What do these chairs have to do with horses? Seriously—I like this picture. It looks as if these chairs have inhaled deeply, like someone who is inflating his chest in order to give a proud and energetic impression, in an attempt to repudiate the fact that their days are up and no-one wants to sit down on them anymore. Fantastic and very clever use of a super-wide lens! The picture would not look like this if it had been taken with a moderate wide-angle or standard lens.
