After last nights dinner while clearing the table, I thought of taking a picture using my new Noctilux lens. I turned down all the lights in the room, and at near darkness with just having the outside light shine through the window blind illuminating the table, I took this still life.
M8 - 1/6 sec - ISO 160 - F1.0 An amazing lens that’s all I can say ! If you want to share some of your low light Noctilux images, why not use this thread so we can all see it. Last edited by arminw : 05/29/07 at 03:20 PM. |

Very inviting, hardly any camera shake, nicely done. I bet you are very happy with this lens.

Thank you all for your comments !
Wilfredo - I am very happy with the lens , but it takes a bit more practice to get it all sharp. I seem to struggle in low light situations and F1. |

A charming picture Armin, the varied colour palette although gentle has a subtle richness.
I trust you finished the bottle later?

Armin, two things. I just love the colour of this image, the tulips are look almost painted, I have been searching for leica lens to 'paint' like this and I feel I've found it.
Secondly after viewing this I can't wait to get mine (just ordered Friday last with the 30%) and go explore how good this can be on the M8, I have missed nothing in Canon except for my 85L and I hope this finally is the answer. Striking image colours and texture could almost have come from a Dutch Masters brush. |
