Thank you Stuart. I am a bit surprised by the difference between the shot as it comes up in PSE2 and the way it looks posted here on the forum. It lost some contrast somewhere in the mix. The yellow has more punch and the rust on the roof is a bit more defined. I didn't post the shot but this truck has a vintage tractor sitting on the back.

Hi Paul - I like the head-on viewpoint, and the squarish crop. I think it would work well with a square crop... It does look a little bit flat on my monitor though. It must have lost a bit of contrast, as you said. I opened it up in PS and adjusted the midtone levels to the right a little bit, and it really came alive. Nice shot.
I would love to see the side view with tractor BTW... Cheers, David. |

Hi David, thanks for looking and commenting. I agree, square would have been better but I shot the truck too close to crop the sides in. Here is the side shot. I don't like this shot but it does show what was on the back. I was hurried when I took these and I had to wade through the tall dead grass to get to it. Wish I had spent more time.

Paul,
I like the first shot, I agree with the other posters great details, great angle and lighting. Well worth the trip through the grass to get

Paul,
Looks like late morning or early afternoon light. It looks great like this, but it would be interesting to try an early morning or near-dusk shot when the light is softer. John |

Jeff, John, John and Azzo, thank you for your comments. Yes, the shot was taken around 11:30 am. I would like to do a reshoot at a different time and such but this was one of those situations where I was on a trip driving down the road, spotted it, turned around, shot the pictures then proceeded on. (It's about 400mi from where I live). Different lighting would really be preferable. I tried it in B&W, even printed it, but I like the yellow better.
