Wonderful, Japp. Especially like the first one for color, clarity, and pattern. What's with number three's focus? The knot is in focus, but not the rest, even though it appears to be a single plane.

That was really deliberate. I wanted to emphasize the knot,which protruded, so I used the Elmar 2.8/50 (which was the only lens I had with me) at 2.8, to defocus the rest of the wood.
