Like the turbulence & lighting tones in both the sky & water + the airplane fuel / vapor mist in the sky.

Gerald -

Wow! Talk about high drama in a photo. Astonishing movement and natural anger in the water and sky, superbly seen and caught.

Gérald,

that's an intense shot you've got there - very powerful.

Lovely shot. Interesting symmetry between the sky and the water.

Gérald, The force of the nature, thus captured, eclipses all. Superb.

Gerald,
NEVER though I would say this but...... what does it look like in colour?
I watched the 747s over-flying from the US towards mainland Europe at dawn this morning and the colours were fantastic, just before the sun came up.

Beautiful, moody shot.

Cheers,
Pete.

Thank you everyone for your input. It was, indeed, a great sky.

Pete, here is a color version.

Very nice Gerald. Much more powerful in B&W, IMHO.

Gérald - it's apocalypse now, again :-) Tremendous shot (esp b+w), like something out of a science fiction film. Thanx for showing.
cheers:

Gérald,
B&W or color, a difficult choice in this case.
Better to keep both!
I think I understand how difficult it would be choising not to shoot this moment!

Oh dear me, is that so ?
I thought they flew by wire.
Holy mackrel, next time I'll be aboard,
I'll have to keep an eye on that.
