bvaughn4 Posted July 14, 2013 Share #1 Posted July 14, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Can someone pleased confirm my understanding of the correct adapter for my newly acquired Visioflex system. I have the Visoflex 1, Universal Focusing Bellows and the adapter ring that I believe came with the bellows originally which enables the use of any 39mm screw mount lens. I am unsure of this adapters part number. I want to use my 90mm Elmarit 2.8 head on the bellows. I think perhaps the adapter I need is OTZFO/16464. Is it correct that this adapter will have 39mm male threads to screw into the adapter on the bellows mentioned above and smaller female threads to accept the 90mm lens head? Am I on the right track? Thank you, Bill

zeitz Posted July 25, 2013 Share #3 Posted July 25, 2013 For Bellows I and II you need 16558. It is a recessed mount into which the lens head threads directly. This will allow the lens to focus to infinity on Viso II/III and Bellows II. It won't collapse to infinity on Viso I and Bellows I, but it give the best usable focusing range. OTZFO is made to mount directly to Viso II/III with a bellows, again giving infinity focus and close up. It has an M bayonet mount, not an LTM thread mount. The LTM mount for Bellows I and II is UOOYW.
zeitz Posted July 25, 2013 Share #4 Posted July 25, 2013 Typo. OTZFO is made to mount directly to Viso II/III without a bellows.
tobey bilek Posted July 27, 2013 Share #5 Posted July 27, 2013 39 ring for bellows is a flat ring. No Leica lens heads are 39 mm. They may be 39 mm but the thread pitch is much finer. Enlarging lenses will commonly fit unless they are old 25 mm or made for large format. The bellows normally came with a recessed mount, about 1/2 inch, made for a 135 mm Hector lens head. It is not 39 mm. The adapter for a 90 mm head is the same as for 65 and 135 tele elmar. It is double recessed, ie two steps down, around 1" total recess in two steps. Adapter rings for bellows 1 and 2 are interchangeable,
zeitz Posted July 31, 2013 Share #6 Posted July 31, 2013 Not all rings for bellows I and II are interchangeable. USOOR and UYCOO for bellows I don't fit in the throat of the bellows II.
