Don't worry, forums can be like that, helpful one moment and downright *?*$% the next. Anywhere where there is a large gathering of people really. Very nice products though, thanks for sharing!

Rather grandiose claims on the website from what is essentially a manufacturer of a little wooden knick·knack:

"Artisan Obscura is a collaboration of people with an eye for style, detail, and design. We strive to bring back American heritage, the old world craftsmanship that photography once knew. ..[inspired] to solve the ergonomic and aesthetic problems that exist with off-the-shelf photographic tools and we hope the result is that you will be more excited to get out into the world and create."

Lovely items but I can't use them. When there is film in my camera I leave the shutter cocked for the next shot and too often with a shutter release attached to the camera it is easily pressed when putting it in or taking it out of the camera bag.

I suppose 'Artisan Obscura' sounds better than 'craftsman in the dark' but what has Latin to do with American heritage, unless somebody thinks Hollywood 'sword and sandal' epic's are real
