Hi,

here's the next L-Camera TV show!

Last weekend I attended the Photographica auction at Westlicht in Vienna - definitely worth the trip. This production had only 48 hours of preparation, so please are not too hard when judging the quality. At least this time I'm only saying once OK - 98% less than last time ;)

Interesting and I like the way there's an advertisement for EasyJet alongside, just £30 to fly to Vienna to get to the auction. Won't help you much when it comes to finding €70k for a Leica after you've arrived though...

I'm tempted to say it's madness but it's clear some people take their collecting very seriously.

Hi Andreas,

Glad to see you in this report :)

Interesting report of an auction of historic Leicas M .

Thank you Andreas for this remarkable job.

I have just two comments to be formulated:

- a bit static and less frequent change of shooting in my opinion

- the last part of the report does not have no pence title or sound.

What is its signification? presentation of objects to be sold in the future ?

or are they, the future objects of the Leica "museum" ?

Thank you for sharing

Best regards

Henry

I hope you don't mind an honest criticism here. I can only speak for myself, but the past glory of Leica and the bizarre world of camera collectors is of no interest to me. Leica won't survive if it keeps living in the past. I am far more interested in the future product line of Leica. News on the future of the M and R lines and of course the new S line as well as stories about the current products and their manufacture. I'm sure I'm not alone :)

Well first of all thank you for your efforts to put this together. I am not a collector, nor have I moved to the Leica system (yet). I would welcome "Leica TV" segments that have more to do with the current cameras and lenses. In particular interviews and examples of how Leica products are made, and how and why they perform at the level they do. A documentary approach with more of an academic as opposed to a Marketing flavor would be nice if you end up doing something like this.

Andreas, Please present all new L-Camera TV videos on YouTube instead of Vimeo. The latter is?was such a headache for me as well as other forum members (got tired of viewing black screens, no help from Vimeo.com, etc.) Much easier to view on You Tube, no problems. Thanks for the videos. Russell
