Hamish Gill Posted December 18, 2013 Share #1 Posted December 18, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) New here, saying hi ... hi I bought an M4-P (maybe - it was an m4 something) 7ish years ago, then soon later sold it and bought an M6 with a 50mm Summicron. Around the same time I bought the voigtlander R2a - I like a bit of AE and back then M7s were well out of my price bracket! Some time later after predominantly using the R2a and a voigtlander 35mm 1.4 nokton classic (I'm one of those that loves this lens) I sold the Leica gear! At the end of last year I became fascinated with lenses with a very strong character and bought myself a 50mm Summarit 1.5 ltm - which I love! I shot with it on a nex5 for a while as film had lost favour with me after the birth of my daughter - I just couldnt be bothered with the faff. Not long later I bought a yashica t5 (bare with me - there is a point to this) which I absolutely loved! Roll of xp2 in it and I was getting results straight from scan that I loved! This got me back on to film in a big way ... And actually very into compact film cameras, to the point in fact that I started a blog about them! (i won't link, im not sure of the etiquette?) This fascination with compact cameras and a long story about my only-slightly-failing eyesight in my right eye lead me to sell the voigtlander R2a and buy an M7 (now they are slightly more affordable). So thats where I am now ... Leica Gear Leica M7 Summarit 50mm f1.5 Elmar 3.5cm other m mount Voigtlander 35mm f1.4 Voigtlander 28mm f1.9 Zeiss Biogon 35mm f2 (which I have just bought, but haven't gelled with yet) I was here to ask a question about having my elmar cleaned, but I found the answer just after I signed up ... thought it rude not to say hi anyway! I'm sure more questions will come to mind at some point! Next step ... spend some time with this biogon and decide if I want to swap it for something a little less perfect. A quick pick of the camera leica M7 with Summarit 50mm 1.5 ltm by Hamish_Gill, on Flickr cheers Hamish
