Default Syrphida on Echinacea

no, this is not a follow-up to old Greek tragedies, although it goes with the art of theatre; this fly that belongs to the family of "Syrphidae" pretends it's dangerous (I think it is a Myiatropa florea); when I bugged it in the process of taking this shot, it hovered next to my face with a threatening noise, trying desperately to make me think it was a hornet or at least a wasp; M8, 90 Macro with adapter, handheld; btw, the wings look overdone with USM, but in fact already the RAW looked like this

Heiner -

Fabulous photo with excellent angle, composition, light, color and detail. Interesting narrative, too. And the wings look exactly as I recall seeing them in the wild.

Lovely photo, a pity that the flower loses its sheen.
