Default Reflections

M8, TRI ELMAR 16-18-21mm set at 18mm.

Taken on my canoe trip. Morning on the river, before bumping into hippos.
Thanks for viewing.

It is superb of composition, but I'm not sure about the white balance...It seems a bit blue.

Gorgeous composition with that repetition of shapes and those crisp colors. Did you use the viewfinder?

Jaap- Thank you. Yo'ure right about the blue. The white balance was set to daylight.
I even desaturated the picture, but the moment I changed its colour profile to SRGB it seems to boost the blue.

If you don't mind - this is what I made of it. It should be better coming from Raw conversion.

Vertekijker- Thank you very much for your comments, much appreciated.

I didn't use the vewfinder as I was in a 1 man canoe, switching between lenses, and taking the camera in and out of the bag to keep it dry, makes for too much fiddling around. Could end up in the river with a crocodile for company!

I do normally use the finder when doing landscapes on tera firma.
Thanks again
MIKE

Mike -

Gorgeous just as it is, and the "extra" blue adds to the effect.

I'm with Stu. Georgeous. New Yorkers will take all the Blue you can throw at us. We're more than happy to trade it for our grey.

Jaap- Thank you for taking the time to adjust the shot. I must be honest in that the original I posted is much closer to what I photographed. It was early morning with very bright crisp light directly behind me.

Start, Ben & Al- Thank you very much for your kind comments. Really appreciated.

Actually, I had it removed, Mike. In retrospect I preferred the atmosphere in yours.

Mike,

This is stunning. Beautiful light and relatively still water in the foreground make this absolutely wonderful.
