Absolutely fabulous, Doug. Esp like number 2
What you can do with the 560 is a real inspiration - I must get mine out again one of these days!

Doug,
Absolutely fantastic pictures. Just wonderful light in the sanderling and plover pictures. I don't think I've ever seen them resting on one leg before. They seem to be running around all the time. Any chicks from these shorebirds up there yet? We do have plover chicks running around down here, but they're in a protected zone, far behind a wire fence to get a good picture. Peter |

Thanks all for the comments. Peter, I have not seen any shorebird chicks yet. Unfortunately I won't be visiting this particular beach (Alameda south shore) any time soon so those that hatch there will probably have flown before I visit again.
Stuart, I'll be visiting the mountains in northeastern California for the next two weeks, and I hope to come back with many more photos. Andy, the DMR has made the 560 my most-used lens. In particular the image quality above ISO 200 has made a huge difference. The rubber thumb dot on my 560 was new in 2002 and because of the DMR I've almost worn through it ![]() Last edited by wildlightphoto; 19.05.2008 at 07:39. |
