Default Malachite Kingfisher

M8 & APO TELYT 135mm

One of my favorite birds, a Malachite Kingfisher I photographed on my canoe trip down the river last week.

Mike -

These are gorgeous birds and you've done them justice, especially when you consider how difficult it is to catch them on film or get close to them. You'll see them in the Borneo rainforests, and if you go on a night river ride with spotlight you'll see them sitting in the trees, unmoving, even when you get quite close.

Super shots. I like the motion blur in the 2nd one. It complements the excellent first one well.
