Stuart, Paul,Hank, JD - thanks, i'm glad you like it.

I replaced some of the original floor boards in one of the rooms in my house, which is actually 120 years old. It just did not feel right to throw the nails out, so i kept them.

When I was a young apprentice Carpenter, in a land far far away a long time ago, I used these cut nails to install furring strips to a masonry wall for finishing with paneling or drywall.

They were cheaper than newly invented masonry nails and held better. You can still get them today. The pullout strength is better than a round nail.

Ali, this image shocked me--in a very good way. I just wasn't expecting anything like what opened up. That's gallery material. I love it. Wherever did you find those nails?

Hi Brent, thank you and glad you liked it. The nails are from a bedroom floor that needed replacing in my house :)
