platypus Posted August 26, 2014 Share #1 Posted August 26, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) A very few quite ancient plum trees grow wild here, small and scruffy they don't bear fruit but, after the wattle trees, they provide the first blossoms of Spring. fotografr Posted August 27, 2014 Share #4 Posted August 27, 2014 I believe I've seen this table before, but with a different arrangement. I think you and my wife would become fast friends if you were to meet. The display on this table is exactly the kind of artistic sensibility she has, even down to the broken pieces of ceramic plate. Lovely photo. Thanks for inviting us into your home.
Iduna Posted August 27, 2014 Share #5 Posted August 27, 2014 Dee, lovely indeed. I think Brent is right when recognizing the location with a different arrangement? - Colors and arrangement are a nice match: young, pale blossom and old pale bones from the past. Keep going with this and asking for the skills your wife who seems to be a fine stylist.

Lovely photo. Thanks for inviting us into your home. Brent, how clever of you to recognise & recall that! This old desk is the repository for all the stuff that I seem to collect while on my photo walks around where I live. Due to the harsh alpine desert climate there's a dearth of flowering plants, even in spring & summer, but there are always gum leaves or something to put in a jar & another stone or old bone to add.....so the random still life it forms is ever changing, I guess it's turned into a sort of seasonal photo diary. Most people I know reckon I'm a little nuts so I'd love to have the opportunity to meet your wife, she sounds like a kindred spirit!

allamande Posted August 29, 2014 Share #8 Posted August 29, 2014 Dee, These are indeed gorgeous flowers. It's a great time of year when Spring is in the air (and all around you), isn't it? I love your arrangement too! Ece
