I visited this small nature reserve with three fellow photographers earlier this summer. The two from France and Italy were amazed by the number of stones that we have in our forests. This is a typical forest close to where I am living in Sweden N of the town Gävle.

Very nice but I would think the stores got there first :)

Forgive my since of humor sometime I go overboard. Seriously this really is a unusual area and you captured it quite well.

best regards,

Hank

True the stones were there first. This is an area that was a sea bed during the last glacial period and therefore the soil is very thin. It looks nice now and as this is a nature reserve it will stay like this. But if it was a production forest it would look terrible after the trees have been cut down. Thanks for your comment!
