the situation is nasty but not at all from the photographic point of view. Green is the color of hope and hope will not be defeated by a small seasonal assault even if it is one of the last in a chain of a long winter period. Here in Germany we have a few days with morning temperatures around freezing point. This is only surprising if we compare this to the extremely warm days before which were uncommonly exceptional for this season.

You are quite right. The snow is already gone and green is bursting out all over. I love this time of the year. It's almost like a rebirth of the land.
