platypus Posted September 28, 2013 Share #6 Posted September 28, 2013 Thank you Ece, what an excellent suggestion! Here is my contribution, two typical Ribbony gums (Eucalyptus Viminalis) native to the cooler parts of Australia and much appreciated by the Koala population. They are long lived and are one of the larger eucalypts. The ribbon-like bark sheds off throughout the year. Very untidy trees! Welcome, dear visitor! Popular Post allamande Posted September 28, 2013 Author Popular Post Share #8 Posted September 28, 2013 Thank you everyone for breathing joyous life into this thread! Please keep them coming. One of my favorite trees is the jacaranda. They are plentiful here in Southern Cal as they are in my native Istanbul! Maybe that's why I love them so; every spring, I get to be home again... Here are three images from this year's jacaranda season (late May): Welcome, dear visitor!
