Default Natural colour

This is a close-up of a Paua shell (related to the Abalone) to emphasise the lush colours and intriguing natural shapes. The lines are the brush marks in the lacquered surface. Any tips for avoiding them?

Thanks for looking and I welcome your comments.

D2 and Elpro-d close-up lens, 1/8 sec @ f4.4, ISO 100.

Daumen hoch Re: Natural colour

I think given that you are exploring "abstract" with photography..I would suggest alot more pictures experimenting with lighting and forms and patterns within a given in this case a n abilone or paua shell.

Good start.

Thanks for sharing

Regards, Leicamann
