Underwater Housing for X1

Yikes!. If you're thinking of snorkeling, then perhaps a loose pouch kind designed for underwater photography such as something from DiCAPac should be fine. For SCUBA I'd want a more substantial enclosure. In either case you must be nearly obsessive in following the manufacturer's instructions or the case will leak, sea water will get into the case, and your camera will be destroyed.

Also, water absorbs all the longer wavelengths of light, which means that other than surface and a meter or two away from the camera near the surface, will be rendered blue. For anything else you'll need underwater strobe to capture the colors. At depth of any magnitude, this will happen to things very close to the camera since the sunlight is filtered by enough water to hide the real colors.

Ikelite makes underwater housings for most of the newer Panasonic cameras - see Ikelite | Underwater Housings for Panasonic Cameras

including ones for Lumix DMC-LX5, LX7 /D-Lux 5, D-Lux 6 but not for Leica X, as far as I can tell.

As for the Lumix LX100 Iklite says "We're hoping to offer a housing to support this model and are currently in the early prototyping stages." Not sure if that will include D-Lux 109.
