Advertisement Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Hi TommyC, Take a look here Visoflex (EVF on T) compatibility. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!

TommyC Posted September 17, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted September 17, 2014 Thank you. I just found out the hot shoe on the Leica X is the same as the T, not XV.
TommyC Posted September 19, 2014 Author Share #4 Posted September 19, 2014 This video says the SF26 (flash for T) will work for the M. Since the M has the same hot shoe as the XV, it should work for the XV. That's odd, I thought the SF26 and Visoflex type 020 only work on the T system. tdavis Posted November 9, 2014 Share #5 Posted November 9, 2014 According to 2014 Product Range UK.pdf EVF (Typ 020), in addition to Leica T, is also compatible with Leica X (Typ 113). In some of the product descriptions it's said to "tilt-and-swivel" - can anyone verify 180 degree rotation - 'selfie-ready' or in other words - pan /tilt 360 /+90 degrees? -Tim
b55er Posted November 9, 2014 Share #6 Posted November 9, 2014 This video says the SF26 (flash for T) will work for the M. Since the M has the same hot shoe as the XV, it should work for the XV. That's odd, I thought the SF26 and Visoflex type 020 only work on the T system. I thought the same thing. I bought the SF26 at a Leica store with the understanding it would work with the XV. It dot NOT. Very disappointed. At first I thought there was a problem with the XV or SF26. After calling the store the following day after my discovery, the store also tried on their hardware and confirmed my findings. The summary is that TTL would not work, and all images are severely overexposed. Marketing material for the SF26 stated that it worked with all current generation Leicas. I just updated my new XV to fw 1.1, so it was a logical assumption that it would work. The end result was that I ended up getting the SF24d as a flash. Also note as stated by others that SF26's metal hot shoe springs does scratch the camera. SF24d is plastic.

If it will not work, you should ask for a refund unless you can use the flash on other bodies.

If it will not work, you should ask for a refund unless you can use the flash on other bodies. The Leica Store exchanged the 26 for the 24d with no issue. Both are amazingly overpriced Metz flashes with a red dot. They were completely perplexed of compatibility.
