X2 vs T

Has anyone use both of these cameras? Should I sell my X2 for the T? Cheers

That's not such a simple question but I will give you my simple and opinionated answer.

No.

I say that as for my particular needs and style of shooting, the X was better for me. I sold it and got one of the first T's when it was recently released. I did post about my experiences and some nice sample shots but even though I have a full lense collection for my MM and M240, I use the 28mm about 90% or more of the time.

The interface of the T vs anything else is really a matter of preference and again, I am not a fan of touch screens, so I am biased.

Lastly there is the cost to make that change..Unless there's something the T offers you that you feel is worth it, I can't imagine making the move. Picture quality is very similar, as is auto focus.

The T is very cool and different but the X is also such an awesome camera..If it only had a 28 I would have kept it. Instead I picked up a Ricoh GR and the picture quality, size and everything else is just astounding.

Hope this helped.

would not sell an X2 for the T. I had the X1, moved over different cameras and still arrived at the T with 23mm. As long as you don't want the zoom lens (which i suppose you don't as you did not consider an x vario over the x2), the Leica T is not an upgrade for you. Only reason i bought the T over the X2 is that it's newer and i'm looking to buy the tele zoom that was promised alongside the T release.
