Give me a lens with the Digilux 2 handling and parameters, the X1 sensor and the Pana G1 EVF, and I'd buy the resulting camera without hesitation. Brent, Your desires are understandable but from a manufacturing and marketing point of view, Leica will sell many more of the current X1 than the X2 your have described. Plus, adding even a crude rangefinder to the X2 would drive the already-stratospheric price even higher. (Now if you can live with manual scale focuing only -- no rangefinder! -- that's a different animal entirely.) Nope. But isn't it intreresting that Leica quickly understood the enduring appeal that the M2 would have?
