Leica's Optical Department

I am very interested in the chiefs of the optical department at Leica, including dates, designs, philosophy, etc. I included a section for this subject in the Wikipedia "Leica" article, and updated the "Walter Mandler" article, but a lot of information is missing.

Can anyone bring some data about Max Berek, Helmut Marx, Wolfgang Vollrath, Lothar Kölsch and Peter Karbe?

The Leica entry in Wikipedia needs additonal data, like designed lenses, period of tenure, short biography, etc. I have completed the "Walter Mandler" entry, but the other designers need more data.
