3ed Posted July 31, 2014 Share #1 Posted July 31, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Can S lenses be adapted to use on other systems (even without AF, etc)? Any system? I'm guessing the answer is currently 'no' since nothing relevant came up when I searched for an answer, but thought I'd ask just in case. Thanks in advance. The aperture (and central shutter on the CS lenses) is electronic isnt it ? That would make it much harder to adapt, unless you want to shoot wide open all the time

mwilliamsphotography Posted August 5, 2014 Share #4 Posted August 5, 2014 It is possible, but not probable. It would require an adapter with reversed engineered data bus contacts like Leica did with the Hasselblad H lenses and Contax 645 lenses which also feature electronically controlled apertures and AF. - Marc
John Black Posted August 11, 2014 Share #5 Posted August 11, 2014 Also, what camera body could the S lenses be used on? Not Mamiya 645, Contax 645, Pentax 645 or Hasselblad 645 or V. The S' registration distance is too short - no room for an adapter. That leaves 35mm dSLRs and such.

Neither at the friendly china dealer nor at other manufactures (Zörk, Novoflex).
