Advertisement Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Hi nikonosguy, Take a look here santa brought me some cool leica gear. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
sc_rufctr Posted January 6, 2014 Share #2 Posted January 6, 2014 Nice. I used the the Leica R grip on my R6.2. It much better than no grip and it's well made. Although I like the motor drive option as well. I just wish film was cheaper so I could use it more. This from the "let's see your R" My 6.2 with an R-Grip. It compliments the thumb grip on the film door.
algrove Posted January 6, 2014 Share #3 Posted January 6, 2014 Nikonosguy Congrats. I used to shoot a lot of underwater which my Nikonos. I see Sony sells a case for the a7R, but it costs nearly the camera price. Glad Santa remembered you. I truly love my APO 180/2.8's and cannot decide which one to sell. The STA-1 fits them very nicely as it does on the 100/2.8 and other R glass as well.
stuny Posted January 7, 2014 Share #4 Posted January 7, 2014 The original Nikonos was designed by Jacques Cousteau for his own use and sold to Nikon who went on to develop it though several generations.

sc_rufctr Posted January 13, 2014 Share #7 Posted January 13, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Funny thing is... The more I use modern auto focus DSLRs the more I appreciate my R, M lenses and bodies. I really feel the R bodies are underrated. If properly maintained they just work and the controls are just so right. Although there seems to be lots of parts only bodies on eBay. What a shame. Anybody else feel this way?
k_g_wolf ✝ Posted January 14, 2014 Share #8 Posted January 14, 2014 Yes, a shame they didn´t bring them (R8/ R9) out 12 yrs earlier to raise enough "funds" for digital. The history of the LEICA Co. might have developed differently, perhaps ... Best GEORG
