I have added an extra dovetail to my Really Right Stuff BM9-B Hand grip so it works as an L-Plate for vertical images especially for stitching high resolution images or panoramas.

The Original RRS solutions was too large and ugly IMHO.

Cameraleather can supply you with the RRS grip cover, very nice.

I like it. I'm off to the shop to rummage through parts.

BTW, instead of the nice leather you use, I get small strips of 3M Safety-Walk tape (sold by the foot) from the hardware store. It is very rough and works well.

Did you put the leather covering on the hand grip yourself, or did it come that way from Really Right Stuff?

I love it when you start hacking cameras and accessories, Erik, because you've ended up with some amazing invention/adaptations.:)

++1! I have a drill press, taps, dies and I am not afraid to use them. I just need the Erick Talent plug-in to make 'em work.
