M9 sensor FYI

Sent my M9 to Leica NJ for a CLA (there was nothing wrong with the sensor that I could see, other than dust) and they're replacing the sensor under warranty. The problem is they're back ordered and won't likely arrive from Germany until early March, the rep said. That's all I know...

 

As an aside, anyone who is interested in the longevity of the camera and shutter, mine is pushing 90,000 clicks.

The camera came back today completely overhauled. They not only replaced the sensor, they fixed the back wheel, adjusted the rangefinder to spot-on focus and even replaced the bottom plate, which over the years had a slight bend in it and had some play. Thanks Leica New Jersey! They didn't charge me a dime.

Leica may have taken a 'hook' to the chin of late but you won't get customer service like that from another manufacturer.
