BjarniM Posted January 2, 2015 Share #1 Posted January 2, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) The current Leica M Monochrom was released in 2012, soon three years ago. Does anyone in this forum know when a new Monochrome will hit the market?
Advertisement Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Hi BjarniM, Take a look here When will a new Monochrom arrive?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
skinnfell Posted January 2, 2015 Share #2 Posted January 2, 2015 Whomever knows, probably can't tell. Everything else would just be guesswork. My guess is that we won't see it in 2015. I doubt that Leica will make updates more frequently than a four year period, possibly longer in the current (uncertain) economy. According to this logic we will see it at earliest in late 2016. But who knows, maybe Leica find it easier to move all cameras to M240 tooling and surprise us all. I would personally much rather see them lower the price on the current monochrom so that more people can enjoy this magnificent camera. I miss absolutely nothing from mine, so as long as it keeps working the way it should I am not updating to a future, heavier, more feature-laden version.
