w44neg Posted December 11, 2014 Share #1 Posted December 11, 2014 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) In September, I took my M9 into Leica Mayfair (London) to ask if my sensor had the cracks I'd seen on the internet. I'd seen several weird spots at around F11+ and wanted to get it checked out. After examining my camera with a microscope, they confirmed the issue was present so I decided to send it off there and then. I have to say, since that day, the customer service from Leica Mayfair was terrible. Not a patch on my local store and I'll certainly never use that shop again. They never got back to me and twice they promised a spare camera to replace mine free of charge, but it never materialised. Anyway, today my M9 has returned direct to me from Germany. It has a nice new leather fascia and the receipt states that the sensor has been replaced and adjusted, as has the rangefinder mechanism; it's basically had a full service really. They've also updated the firmware. All FOC of course. I'm very pleased and I can't wait to get out shooting with it again :-D Edited December 11, 2014 by w44neg
