sblutter Posted October 28, 2014 Share #2 Posted October 28, 2014 Be sure to calibrate the ground glass for the flat field of the sensor vs. originally for the mid-depth of slightly curved film stock There are threads on this In the meantime - enjoy your rig!
dkCambridgeshire Posted November 3, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted November 3, 2014 Also have an IFLEX for the project: Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! … Q&D pics … I'm surprised it fits because thought only the Viso 3 is compatible. Universal Focusing bellows which fits the IFLEX is not shown. dunk
 Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! … Q&D pics … I'm surprised it fits because thought only the Viso 3 is compatible. dkCambridgeshire Posted November 3, 2014 Author Share #6 Posted November 3, 2014 Also, found my missing 22228 R to M adaptor this afternoon which is thinner than my home-made version … and when I tried some Q&Ds with the MM / Viso 3 / 22228 / 60mm R, the focus seemed to be OK .. but need to try it on a copy stand to be sure. Magnification is too high for most purposes but will also try with a 100mm Macro Elmar R which should reduce mag. to enable imaging larger subjects … I hope. Welcome, dear visitor! MOZ Posted November 4, 2014 Share #7 Posted November 4, 2014 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) And well, can you guys show us some pictures made with all that staff ? I would really like to see the results... I personally work with my MM + Hasselblad lenses for portraits, it's kind of hard for focusing but the results can be astonishing sometimes... http://backinblack.4ormat.com/the-lab Edited November 4, 2014 by MOZ
dkCambridgeshire Posted November 4, 2014 Author Share #8 Posted November 4, 2014 Super images MOZ … intrigued as to how you mount and focus your Hasselblad lenses onto your MM. dunk
MOZ Posted November 4, 2014 Share #9 Posted November 4, 2014 (edited) I use a Kippon adapter for Hasselblad lenses. And for the focus, well, it's the hard part... there is none as well as you don't get any frame either. So you have to guess and try several times to get the right frame you want. For focus i use a small rope with a distance marked on it, attached to the plan film and i focus my lens at this mark... and ask my model to pull the rope under the eyes. There is a lot of center flare coming inside the lens if there are lights behind your subject, so you have to use side lights only and with low contrast (not too bright). It's kind of an experiment but i tend to get it right with time... And after i print large (20'x30') and it's stunning !
