TonyField Posted October 21, 2014 Share #1 Posted October 21, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I always like to use both a lens shade and a lens cap on lenses. In particular, I love my 1960-vintage 35mm Summicron with the fluted lens shade. I disliked having to remove and reverse the shade and cap. By accident, I found that a 52mm Nikon lens cap I had lying around would perfectly fit the fluted shade for the Summicron. Of course any 52mm cap should work. TonyField Posted October 21, 2014 Author Share #2 Posted October 21, 2014 (edited) Of course, the same lens shade was also used on the 50mm F2 and therefor the lens cap will work as well Of course this shade is not reversible on the 35mm F2.
