Hi Everyone,

in the link bellow, you'll read I about my 2 days of experience using a Rangefinder camera, for the first time of my life. This review is for those among you, who are considering switching to a rangefinder system or considering adding this system to your arsenal.

it's not a camera review, it's more about the experience behind using an M camera for the first time.

Hope you'll enjoy it. Your comments and feedback are gonna be highly appreciated.

My first camera was a RF, Waltz Envoy with 50 2.0 Nippon Koago or Nikkor.

It was pre Nikon F so there were no slr cameras commonly available. Used it until 1966 when I bought a Pentax Spotmatic and 6 lenses all in one go, Altman Camera, Chicago.

Used that for 10/12 years until I discovered Leica, Then went to Nikon for digital.

I now have Leica and Nikon digital . My son will inherit them. No more GAS

Tobei, that's an interesting historique. Hope you still have the Waltz Envoy!

Do not still have the Envoy. The transport mechanism failed when I was a senior in college and was uneconomical to repair. Plus I was desperate for interchangeable lenses.

It must have been a rare model though. I have looked up the Waltz history and could never find a model with the 2.0 NIKOR.

There was a Leica R set also. Some lenses and all the new bodies were sold to finance my M9. I kept the 21, 28 & 35 pc, 60 , 100 APO and they now have Nikon mounts. The 400 and 560 also easily adapt to Nikon or M as they have the M tube.
