It looks great and if I can figure out how to post a picture of it- I will! Not sure what other colors they have- but Carmen and the gang did their usual superb job! Around $323.00:) Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! John Z. Goriup Posted March 17, 2014 Share #3 Posted March 17, 2014 Looks very nice, BUT………..may I suggest you send in the grip in and have it recovered in Olive drab as well. That would be truly cool ! JZG

Bonkers, but it's your money to waste how you wish. Come on, that is a bit mean, this is Leicaland after all. Somehow, I think it looks nicer than a Safari M8 (it just needs a change the grip cover to complete the set-up). Nick Yes but the bag is the wrong colour as well, a green Billingham would look better. Steve
BenMathes Posted March 18, 2014 Author Share #9 Posted March 18, 2014 Sorry, they couldn't do the grip- I did ask! Love green Billinghams too- just grew up and old with the tan ones..
M9reno Posted March 18, 2014 Share #10 Posted March 18, 2014 And the M9 > M9P "upgrade" (especially the part where they remove a red dot and add an engraving - the sapphire screen does have some practical use at least) cost how much? This instance of pimping is thrift by comparison.
marknorton Posted March 18, 2014 Share #11 Posted March 18, 2014 In the days when Camera Leather was alive and kicking, when you ordered a leather, you could get a piece for the grip for a fraction of the cost Leica charge. Problem is of course none of us know whether Camera Leather are still in business or whether he's drowing in a sea of unanswered emails. Interesting too to see the M9 wearing in all the usual places - front top edge, viewfinder window corner, frame selection lever. At least that part doesn't wear on the M Type 240... Jeff S Posted March 19, 2014 Share #12 Posted March 19, 2014 Crazy price for covering. But, for an extra $22 you can get a black dot from DAG. Jeff
01af Posted March 19, 2014 Share #13 Posted March 19, 2014 ... got the leather changed to olive drab! Ugh ... no, I don't like it. But then—who cares what I like? It's your camera. On a related note, I just placed a small piece of black duct tape over my black-paint Leica's red dot—and I'm surprised how much this transforms the look of the camera. I resisted doing this for years because I always felt taping the red dot was silly ... not anymore ...
marknorton Posted March 19, 2014 Share #14 Posted March 19, 2014 Looking at it again - the camera, the bag, the grip - and the words "dog's" and "breakfast" come to mind. Where are the Taste Police when you need them? But, hey, each to his own!

I used to feel the same way about black dots. Little cost, big difference IMO. Jeff
