And thanks to Jono of course, but to you Andy also.

I've noticed the data on the loaf of bread photo is probably wrong, but that's no big problem.

On a very quick initial glance at the DNGs I've downloaded (even the word "look" would be overstating it) they appear very impressive. Like you Andy and no doubt many others, I'll spend some time tonight with them.

To Andy, thanks for conveying. To Jono, thank you for taking exactly the kinds of lovely photos most useful to us in trying to figure how the M draws. Wonderful photos, highly useful. Next time Leica has a new camera coming out, we intend on stalking you, knowing you will have the goods, and take the loveliest photos.

Hi John.

Many thanks for the kind words. It means a lot. It really does!

I have downloaded the jpgs and they are looking very nice indeed.

Jono - are you allowed to divulge what level of firmware these were taken with? I am assuming that any from Copenhagen were taken in October, but alpine ones would have been later. Are they with different firmware?

Hi there Peter

Some of the lens information isn't right - thanks for the heads up. I guess it'll get tweaked in the next few hours.

Hi Andy

There are three levels of firmware, but changes were very small. They are all with pre production firmware. Basically the camera I had in Copenhagen was already taking lovely files, changes since then have been dealing with small issues rather than real IQ problems.

All the best
