To while away the time let's track M9 delivery patterns.
Please post date & place of delivery (vendor, city, country). Retrospective and proxy entries welcomed - but no duplication please. We'll see what we can do with the stats. Maybe a world map with pins to show deliveries. Ready, steady, ... Go! |

Great idea, Rick! I'd also suggest that in addition to date and locale that folks also post whether they received a black or grey model - as many of us are particularly interested in one or the other.

Vendor: Dale Photo and Digital USA Black Thank you again, David Farkas, for having put me on the list when I inquired some months ago. Thank you Leica, for sending a black camera when the person ahead of me wanted gray ;-) |

Here is a link to a Google Map showing M9 deliveries.
I'll update daily. Anyone want to prepare an animated map that shows pins flying in from Germany and landing in a time sequence, say 1 day per second? Easy!Leica M9 Deliveries - Google Maps and here's a pic of the first few entries Last edited by rick_dykstra; 03.10.2009 at 04:17. |

I would suggest to track order fulfillment times instead of (or in addition to) the date of item received.
After all, this is probably the one metric most important to anxious M9 buyers right now. |

Then I thought, "but we don't want them to rush and take shortcuts because we're tracking delivery times!" ![]() Ah what the heck - folks, if you include your order/deposit date as well as the delivery date we can have some really good arguments about preferential treatment. ![]() |

Good idea (after all) though I'm intersted in where bought/used and the colors and then how the map will be filled with dots throughtout the next months. I know we're two M9 users since Sept 11 in my town of just 250,000 people.
As for delivery time, I guess that's best shown in another type of graph, not a geographical map. |

I hope that none ever get delivered to New Zealand...

I know that two black ones were delivered in Christchurch on 9/9/09, so they're on the map now.
Hoppy, did you say one was delivered in Brisbane? D'ya know when? Thorsten, I've added the other one in Aarhus you mentioned. Colour? Vendor? |
