It would be nice if your site fit onscreen so viewers wouldn't have to scroll left to right.

Enjoyed your website but have to agree with Shootist's comments about scrolling.

I was in Quito a couple of months ago, great place. We went on to Galapagos instead of the Amazon but would like to go back there sometime soon.

My images are at Photography by Tom Lane

I agree, even on my 2560 * 1600 screen, it overflows to the right.

I'm sorry to say after a few minutes I totally gave up because of the need to scroll sideways to view the images. What also doesn't help is the need to scroll to read the text, which is way past the right hand edge of the pictures in some instances.

I thought I could avoid the problem by using the far right hand side menu to view all pictures .... but you need an account to view the images at any reasonable size.

I could see the site with no problems (Safari).

I'm interested to see that everytime anyone takes an M8 on a holiday to somewhere wet, cold or very hot this is presented as an 'answer' to Michael Kamber's comprehensive review.

Glad you're enjoying the M8!

Thank you all...
I apologize for "issues" with the blog image viewing: there is nothing I can do. It is a template of the site. I do not have any problems viewing it on my Mac with Firefox...
In any case, if you wish to view images different way and more selection, please go to :
Zenfolio | FOTOGRAFIJA | Leica M8: Ecuador and Amazonia, summer 2008.

Thanks,
Steven

OK visually for Macbook Pro with Safari 4.0 (beta). Must be that winduzz thing.

Nice to see the camera doing well and surviving what is a pretty harsh climate. As an added bonus the photos are great.

On Safari on Windows it shows fine. But Safari-Windows has problems with LUF. It keeps popping up with "MIME-Flash plug-in missing"...

There is a big difference between holiday snaps in a pretty place and getting your bills paid in a war zone.

While my M8 is with me now as I am still on the road on assignment, I did only take my M6 w/ a single 28/2 on my climb of the Kautz Ice chute on Mt. Rainier last week. The cold zapped the internal meter battery but I used my tiny Gossen Digisix which was in a pocket near my body.

There is simply no way I would take the M8 on that climb, too risky to miss shots.

This should be a bit clearer now.....:-)

And I was digging the pics a little until I saw the iStock link...

Sure,
on the climb like that I would take my M6, too. Actually, I did take my 1Ds MKII up North in Quebec on -40C... It worked great, even the meter was running.
As far as your comment about iStock goes, I don't get it?
In any case, please don't make this post about love/hate story about micro stock. Get over it. I do have my stock all over the place, including Getty and Superstock...
Good luck on your travels.
